3bridges_durif

Durif is a red wine originally sourced from the Rhone

Valley in France. The berries produced are small and

concentrated and performs best in warm, sunny areas

and that is why Westend Estate has so much success

with it. The wine produced is full flavoured with intense

colour & high tannins & will age well.

TASTING NOTE

3 Bridges Durif is an intense deep purple colour with a vibrant purple hue. It displays an aromatic blood plum and dark chocolate nose. The full bodied palate of ripe blackberries, plums and chocolate is supported by toasty American oak contributing vanillin and coconut. The palate is rich with a big tannic mouthfeel combined with sweet fruit and warm alcohol. This wine is perfect to drink now but will age in the medium to long term.

FOOD ACCOMPANIMENTS

Roast beef, osso bucco, duck with garlic and herbs, parmesan and vintage cheddar cheeses.
