A classic combination of casks combined with Benriach's fruity spirit makes for a great tasting and easy-drinking whisky. Bourbon and sherry casks give this ten-year-old whisky layers of fruit and sweet vanilla, while virgin oak gives an extra kick of spice.
Benriach Classic Quarter Cask
Scotch Single Malt Whisky / 70cl / 46%
To make Benriach Quarter Cask, Benriach spirit is first matured in bourbon barrels then undergoes a second maturation in bespoke quarter casks. These smaller casks allow more interaction between wood and spirit, intensifying maturation for depth and richness of flavour, to create layers of glazed orchard fruit and rich vanilla, finishing with notes of ripe barley and oak spice. All in perfect balance.
Benriach Peated Quarter Cask
Scotch Single Malt Whisky / 70cl / 46%
Peated Benriach, matured in tiny quarter casks! The smaller casks encourage greater interaction between the spirit, the oak and the air allowing the whisky to take on lots of character in a shorter period of time. This 46% expression, bottled with neither chill filtration nor artificial colouring, is no exception.
Benriach Birnie Moss Intensely Peated
Scotch Single Malt Whisky / 70cl / 48%
A heavily peated whisky from the Benriach distillery. This is at higher than average strength and was distilled from peated malt at 35ppm. The result is at once smoky and very fruity. On the palate A creamy mouthfeel, with some intense smoke and spice, grilled fruits and crunchy malt.
