Laphroaig 10 Year Old

Scotch Single Malt Whisky / 70cl / 40%

Really smoky and iodine rich. This has to be one of Scotland's most characterful drams. Laphroaig are known for their medicinal malts, and the classic 10 year old is no exception. On the palate The oak is big, and muscles its way into the fore as you hold this whisky over your tongue. An upsurge of spices develop – cardamom/black pepper/chilli.

Laphroaig Select

Scotch Single Malt Whisky / 70cl / 40%

Laphroaig Select is aged in a combination of Oloroso sherry butts, American white oak (we suspect some of this is virgin oak), hogsheads seasoned with Pedro Ximenez, quarter casks and first fill bourbon casks. This results in a restrained and toned down version of this Islay classic.

Laphroaig Quarter Cask

Scotch Single Malt Whisky / 70cl / 48%

A vibrant young Laphroaig whose maturation has been accelerated by ageing in quarter casks. This shows soft sweetness and a velvety feel when first tasted, then the intense peatiness so unique to Laphroaig comes bursting through. A terrific whisky and great value. On the palate Big rush of sweetness, in fact it’s an explosion of sweetness, with fiery chilli heat, TCP, sweet cereals and a touch of cola syrup.

Laphroaig Port Wood

Scotch Single Malt Whisky / 70cl / 48%

Laphroaig Port Wood combines the signature flavor of Laphroaig with the rich, fruity character of ruby port. This soft and well-rounded single malt Scotch has flavors of red berries, seaweed and smoky peat. Made to a time-honored method, it starts with gently drying malted barley over a peat-fuelled fire. After being mixed with the crystal clear waters of the Kilbride Stream, the barley is distilled and aged in charred ex-Bourbon barrels.
